Learn emergency response procedures and practice for common boating mishaps
Service Description
This course is designed to familairize recreational and commercial boaters with proper response procedures for: -Fire -Person Overboard/ Cold Water Immersion -Assisting in Search and Rescue -Emergency Signals (Pyrotechnic, VHF, DSC, EPIRB, PLB) -Ditching/ Abandoning Ship -Flooding prevention and control -Capsizing -Vessel load distribution -Extreme and Inclement Weather -Emergency Boat Maneuvers Harbor drills include: -Person Overboard recovery -Fire -Flooding Control -Smoke and Flare signals The course includes 5-hours of classroom instruction along with 3-hours of on-board training in Statter Harbor, Auke Bay. Participants will draft Emergency Response plans (Station Bills) for their personally owned vessel (POV), and provided with printable templates for step-by-step procedures, to customize their own safety manual (complete boater safety books are provided by attending the SABER 'Build a Customized Emergency Response Manual' course).










Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made prior to 24-hours of SABER class start times. Missed classes;students arriving later than 15-minutes of scheduled start-time; or cancellations within 24-hours of scheduled classes will incur a $25 cancellation fee.
